For the smooth functioning of the school, SESS, on 15th Shrawan 2083 B. S. (31st July 2026), with immense pride and enthusiasm, invested the 12 number of newly elected Student Council Members of Senior Secondary level (Anne Marie Block), for the academic session 2083 B.S., with power and authority. Amidst the same brief but well organized and catchy ceremonial event, titled - “Investiture and Proficiency Award Ceremony of class XI Science and Management-2083”, SESS also awarded 18 proficient students and 5 diligent students of classes XI Science and Management who distinguished themselves through their academic excellence and progressive performances in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in the academic session 2082 B.S.
The occasion commenced with welcome address and prayer service followed solemn oath-taking ceremony of Council Members, felicitation of the Student Council Moderators and so on. During the swearing in ceremony, the body of Council Members pledged to uphold the rules and regulations, values and traditions of the school with strong sense of responsibility, sincerity and integrity.
The Investiture Ceremony was followed by Proficiency Award Ceremony during which academic toppers of the session 2082 B. S. from classes XI Science and Management were felicitated, accompanied by their parents and guardians, with awards and certificates in recognition of their brilliant academic achievements and highly appreciable progressive improvements during the session.
The remarkable occasion was graced by the valuable presence of Rev. Sr. Freeda Vairung as the Chief Guest.
The school extends Most Cordial Gratitude to the Chief Guest for her invaluable presence, continued support, and words of wisdom and encouragement. The school also extends Very Hearty Gratitude to all the Sisters, Parents and Guardians, the Staff and the Students for their commendable help, support and cooperation in making this event a Very Fruitful and Memorable One. Finally, the school expresses Hearty Congratulations, Sincere Appreciation and Best Wishes to all the newly sworn in Student Council Members and all the Awardees for their continued cooperation and excellence.

On 9th Shrawan 2083B.S.(25th July 2026),a team of five teachers of SESS led by Principal, Sister Augustina Lepcha, attended a Highly Remarkable Teacher Training Workshop titled “ In-Service Training Session on Competency-Based Education" at St. Joseph’s Convent, Kalimpong, for Senior Teachers of Cluny Schools of the Province of North East India and Nepal,organized by the Education Commission as a part and parcel of the joyous celebration of Centenary of Grace ( 1926-2026 A.D.),celebrated for honouring and paying homage to the venerated Sisters for their 100 years of utmost faith, selfless sacrifice, consecrated love and soulful service for the upliftment of the people of this Province in the field of education and social justice.
The six hours long training sessions were facilitated by a veteran educational expert and a trainer,Mr. Payam Shoghi, Founder and Director of Pedagogy and Training under Amharta Educare, a renowned Indian Educational Organization. The training sessions really mesmerized all the participants and made them feel truly reignited, reoriented and revitalized for classroom-teaching with added confidence, creativity and enthusiasm.

SESS extends Most Profound Gratitude to the Provincial Superior, Rev.Sister Eva Anju Lakra,Sr.Mary James Rai,Principal of St. Joseph’s Convent,Sr.Denise Plackal,the Animator of St.Joseph’s Convent,Sr.Leticia Mukhia,the Animator of Asha Deep Community,all the Sisters,teaching &non-teaching staff for the priceless opportunity, generosity, hospitality, love and care given to us during our stay and also during the training sessions.

On 32nd Ashar 2083 B.S. (16th July 2026), in order to mark the auspicious occasion of the Centenary Celebration of the Province of North East India and Nepal and to commemorate the Feast Day of Blessed Anne Marie Javouhey,the Foundress of Sisters of St.Joseph of Cluny, SESS, with all its sobriety and devotion, organized a very Special Program comprising three important aspects, in the Harvey Hall. The first phase of the event was dedicated to the celebration of Feast Day which was fervently observed by performing the solemn activities such as lighting the mosaic of oil lamps and candles, rendering passionate prayer service, staging a beautiful prayer dance and so on.
The second phase of the occasion consisted of a Singing Competition on Bl.Anne Marie Javouhey, held among the six sections of three classes from VIII to X. Likewise, the third facet of the sacrosanct event was the Felicitation of the two Eminent and the Pioneer Sisters -
Sr. Emelda Gurung and Sr.Winnifred Mukhia whose years of humongous unwavering services have solaced and enriched the lives of numerous children and the needy people.
In the same occasion, all the staff and the students also seized the moment to honor and appreciate the immeasurable service and sacrifice of all the Sisters. The hallowed program was graced by the invaluable presence of-Fr.Ignatius Rai,
Fr.Robin Rai and
Fr.Benjamin Pravakar Rai who also comprised the panel of Judges for the Singing Contest . In addition, all the Sisters, staff and the students witnessed the venerable event.
Class IX B championed the competition and received the winners’ trophy, class X A stood second and received the first runner up trophy and VIII B got awarded with second runner up trophy.
The school expresses Hearty Congratulations and Sincere Appreciation to all the winners and the participants for their wonderful performances.
The school also extends very Hearty Gratitude to all the Sisters, class teachers, staff and the students for their untiring guidance, support and sacrifice in making this event a highly successful and memorable one.
