RIT Roorkee congratulates 𝐌𝐫. 𝐑𝐚𝐣𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚 𝐊𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫 (𝐁.𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 M𝐄), for getting placed in FCC Clutch India Pvt. Ltd. 𝐚𝐬 𝐚 Design and Testing Engineer at a salary package of 𝟔.𝟖𝟓 𝐋𝐚𝐤𝐡𝐬 𝐏𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐦.

FCC Clutch manufactures clutches through an integrated system extending from research and development of frictional materials to assembly of clutches. The scope of the business has been steadily expanding in stride with the development of the automotive industry, enabling F.C.C. to claim the top worldwide share in motorcycle clutches.

The global production system consists of 22 manufacturing facilities covering 10 overseas countries in addition to their Japanese facilities.

RIT Roorkee brings the students PDP classes in sync with the IELTS curriculum. The program is designed in a way that the students can take IELTS exam at a later stage, thereby opening the doors for further education as well as employment abroad.

Ms. Jaspreet Sidhu - one of the faculties is IELTS Qualified with a Band Score of 8.5 (Out of 9).

RIT students presented their innovative projects before the angel funding agencies and other establishments of the corporate world. The event was organized by The India Angels in association with TiE Global (USA) comprising of pan-India Angel Network connected with US based organisations too. Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Manisha Panwar IAS, Mr SC Nautiyal –(Director Industries), Mr. Mahavir Sharma – Ex Chair Person, TiE Global and Executive Director TiE Global graced the daiswherein Shri Sanjay Agrawal VC RIT, and Shri Amit Sinha Director IT Uttarakhand and many other officials from government and private sectors were present.

Motivation provided by RIT’s Innovation Cell remained instrumental in conceptualizing and promoting these projects through infrastructural and technical support.

The funding organization intends to provide early stage capital focused on nurturing and mentoring new generation entreprexneurs. Two teams of RIT students made brilliant presentation about their innovative projects and the investors present in the meeting held at Four Banyans Resort Dehradun. Seeing the interest shown in their projects, questions asked thereof and the warmth with which the recipients reacted to the explanations given by the students, both the teams are expecting the leverage through a global investor and funding base.

Also the students gained an insight and feedback from a diverse investor group, established acquaintance with the network of mentors and advisers with industry-specific expertise and created new professional links. Students are now working on redefining their business plans in tune with the wisdom and business acumen provided by the investors to get access to global markets through the member network across the globe.

Two teams of RIT are encouraged by investors to go for Startups. Team nicknamed ‘The Backbenchers’ (Dikshant Vohra, Himanshu and Priyanka) are the finalist of Hackathon 2020 also. Dikshant is answering the queries raised by investors (above)

CII- IGBC launched Student Chapter at Roorkee Institute of technology, Roorkee to ignite the idea of green culture in students.

To help encourage and promote sustainability led initiatives amongst students, Indian Green Building Council (IGBC), part of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) launched IGBC student chapter at Roorkee Institute of technology, Roorkee on 15 November 2019. As many as 200 students and faculty members attended the launch ceremony.
The objective of launching the student chapter is to Spread awareness on Green Buildings amongst the student community and ignite the idea of green in young minds, thereby facilitating India to become one of the global leaders in embracing green building concepts.

Grand opening of NPTEL Local Chapter at RIT Roorkee Campus was held in the presence of Dr. Indra Deep Singh, Asstt. Prof IIT Roorkee as Coordinator of NPTEL Northern India, Dr. Nivedita Vishoi Head Supervisor of NPTEL, accompanied by Mr. Jitendra Kumar and Mr. Nitesh Kumar.

DG Prof Arun Kumar Mathur, Director, Dr Parag Jain and HOD EE/ECE Prof Vishal Sharma, together with Dr. Indra Deep Singh launched the NPTEL Local Chapter by hosting NPTEL Lectures projected on the screen of Seminar Hall of RIT.

While highlighting the main features and benefits of NPTEL Local Chapter, the officials demonstrated the practical use of the program and answered the questions of the audience.

Participating Faculties of RIT were awarded certificates also.
