Call for Expression of Interest: MoFA Nepal Summer Internship 2026

We are pleased to announce the MoFA Nepal Summer Internship 2026, an 8-week voluntary research internship programme initiated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal and hosted by the Institute of Foreign Affairs.

The programme is open to Nepali graduates and professionals, both within Nepal and abroad, who wish to contribute independent policy research directly to Nepal's foreign policy agenda. Selected interns will work across five research themes over eight weeks from mid-June to mid-August 2026, in person in Kathmandu and remotely.

The research themes are Strategic Affairs and Public International Law, Development and Finance, Emerging Technologies, Clean Energy, and Nepali Diaspora

The programme offers a direct engagement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the ministerial level, structured mentorship with senior professionals, access to officials and policy discussions, and the opportunity to publish through the Institute of Foreign Affairs. This is a service opportunity for the nation.`

Nepali citizens, Non-Resident Nepali cardholders, and people of Nepali origin are particularly encouraged to apply. Nepal-based professionals and researchers are equally welcome. We are looking for graduates and professionals with demonstrated expertise.

Golden jubilee scholarship:-
Under the golden jubilee scholarship scheme ,embassy of india provides scholarship to student enrolled in bachelor 1st /1st part of undergraduate course in recognized educational institute of Nepal in the field of engineering or other
Scholarship amount :-
Selected student in engineering will get scholarship of NRs 4000 per month .the scholarship will be discontinues if the percentage of marks obtained by the awarded falls below 50% in each subsequent year or for any other reason that the embassy may deem necessarily .
When and how to apply for this scheme is tentatively announced in November /December every year in this regard .announcement is made through local newspaper and uploaded on embassy of indias website.
