Important Update for South Korea Student Visa Applicants 🇰🇷

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has introduced a new requirement regarding academic documents for student visa applications.

🔴 Major Change:
Applicants whose graduation date exceeds one year must submit a valid Graduation Certificate.
After one year, Provisional Certificates will no longer be accepted.

For applicants within one year of graduation, a provisional certificate may still be accepted depending on the date of issuance.

📅 Implementation Date: May 11, 2026

📌 Required Documents for Visa Application:
✔️ Consular verified academic certificates
✔️ Official Graduation Certificate (when applicable)

⚠️ Important Notice:
Any submission of forged, manipulated, or unverified documents may result in a minimum 3-year restriction on Korean visa applications.

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Nepal hereby informs that, beginning with the Fall 2026 semester, the special service for bulk submission of academic documents requiring consular legalization for admission to universities in Korea will no longer be provided.

Accordingly, domestic universities planning to recruit Nepalese students, as well as professionals engaged in related work, are advised to take note of this change.

Furthermore, please be reminded that the dissemination of false information regarding bulk submission services may result in legal action.
