The Department of Environmental Sciecne hosted three members of The Youth Sounding Board (YSB), who conducted a two- day event (3-4 August 2026) titled, " Climate Entrepreneurship and Circular Economy Workshop" under project TARS: Deconstructing Imposter- one of the initiatives of the YSB. The workshop offered our young minds valuable insights into climate entrepreneurship,circular economy, and sustainable innovation through engaging, hands-on learning experiences and activities. The Department extends its sincere appreciation to the YSB.

🎉 Congratulations to Our M.Sc. Glaciology Graduates! 🎓❄️

Department of Environmental Science, Kathmandu University School of Science - KUSOS, Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, warmly congratulates 15 M.Sc. Environmental Science students (Specialization in Glaciology) on the successful completion and defense of their master's theses.

This achievement marks an important milestone for the Department in developing the next generation of cryosphere scientists committed to advancing research on Himalayan glaciers, climate change, water resources, and mountain hazards.

The Glaciology specialization is supported through the Capacity Building for Assessment of Cryosphere Changes and Associated Environmental and Social Risks in the HKH Region (CBACC-HKH) Project, funded by the **International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) at Himalayan Cryosphere, Climate and Disaster Research Center, a dedicated cryosphere research center of Department of Environmental Science, Kathmandu University.

We extend our sincere appreciation to ICIMOD, our faculty members, supervisors, and examiners for their continued support. We wish all our graduates every success in their future careers and look forward to their continued contributions to science, society, and sustainable mountain development.
