–South for shared challenges
Today, we had a meaningful meeting together with H.E. Claudio Lins, designate of Embassy of Brazil in Kathmandu, H.E. Md. Golam Sarwar, Secretary-General of SAARC Secretariat, and Honorable Directors including Prathama Uprety and Waruna Wilpatha.
Prof. Bim Shrestha, PhD, Director, Nepal Technology Innovation Center - NTIC, Kathmandu University, Prof. Anjana of Tribhuvan University, and Dr Sanjiv, Chief of Innovation of NTIC/KU, were representing academia sector of Nepal.
At the outset, we expressed our and solidarity following yesterday’s devastating , extending our to all affected families and communities.
The discussions explored how NTIC can serve as a facilitating partner/ partner in advancing South–South collaboration. We shared NTIC’s ongoing with Brazil and the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), particularly in venom/antivenom, dairy, and dengue-related projects; areas of shared importance across the SAARC region.
We discussed to , , , and across South Asia and Brazil, with the aim of adapting and transferring relevant technologies to address common regional challenges.
