MoFA Korea Delegation Visit to NTIC

The Nepal Technology Innovation Center (NTIC), hosted a delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Government of the Republic of Korea on 14 August 2026.

The visit provided an opportunity for constructive interaction on strengthening ongoing collaboration and exploring further cooperation and support from the Government of the Republic of Korea for NTIC, particularly in research, development, innovation, and institutional capacity building.

The delegation was accompanied by representatives from KOICA, GSNJ Institute, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, and other experts. The visit also included discussions on the progress and future direction of Korea-supported initiatives at NTIC.

The session was graced by Rebecca L. Weidner, Cultural Affairs Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu, and facilitated by Associate Professor Dr. Manoj Shakya, engaging students from AI, Computer Science, and Computer Engineering.

Today, NTIC team had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Shahiya Ali Manik, Director of the Social Affairs Division at the SAARC Secretariat, at her office to explore opportunities for regional collaboration in and .

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Bim Shrestha, Director of NTIC, opened discussions on possibilities of collaboration. Dr Sanjiv, Chief of Innovation at the Nepal Technology Innovation Center - NTIC, shared NTIC's vision and highlighted several ongoing health innovation and technology initiatives with regional impact. Gunjan Khanal also presented about Himalayan University Consortium - HUC and its efforts to foster collaborative solutions.

A heartfelt thank you to Prof. Dr. Anjana Singh for making this meeting possible and for her continued coordination in strengthening partnerships.
