🦠🌍 Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) are caused by a wide range of pathogens—including dengue virus and Trypanosoma parasites—and affect nearly one-fifth of the world’s population. While progress has been made in preventing, treating and eliminating individual NTDs at national levels, much work remains to reach the UN/WHO goal of reducing the number of people requiring interventions by 90%.
