Thrilled beyond measure, the IAAS Nepal LC ERc took pride in their representation at this wonderful big event. At the event two members of our committee had the pleasure to meet, interact and learn along through discussions and jam sessions with IAASers, young leaders and agriculturists from all over the Asia-Pacific region.

The event APDM 2026, hosted by a IAAS Nepal LC KU at Kathmandu University, was not only a meeting but a celebration of the regional cooperation and a stepping stone towards a bright future for agriculture.

It created a chance for debate, sharing of best practices, developing leadership skills, acquainting with different cultures, and uniting to bring about the desired changes in agriculture worldwide.Besides sessions that are knowledge-packed and visits to places that are real eye-opening, unfurling lasting friendships, cementing the existing ties, and etching out new happy moments are a few outcomes of the event that will keep acting as a source of inspiration to us in our journey with FamilIAAS.

We sincerely express our gratitude to IAAS Nepal, the organising committee, and everyone who participated in bringing to life an experience like APDM 2026 that was both deeply enriching and unforgettable.

After the exposure to such a treasure trove of knowledge, we are energized to work on our Local Committee, ramp up our IAAS contributions and continue our efforts towards agricultural development both locally and globally.

🚫⚽ World Day Against Child Labour 2026 ⚽🚫

On this World Day Against Child Labour, we say "Red Card to Child Labour: Fair Play for Children, Decent Work for Adults" together.

Children should not be working; they should be learning, playing, dreaming, and having opportunities. Yet, despite the progress globally, there still are millions of children in child labour, many working in dangerous conditions.

So this day is like a call to all of us to make a world where, from education to protection to equal opportunities children can prosper and adults can have decent jobs and sustainable livelihoods.

Let us be the voice that raises the issue, supports positive change, and is committed to a future where every child is free to learn, grow and develop to their fullest potential.

🌱 Tree Plantation Activity | World Environment Day 2026 🌍

IAAS Nepal LC ERC had a great time celebrating World Environment Day 2026 by planting trees around the Agriculture Building, Purwanchal Campus.

Following this year's inspiring theme - "Climate Action, Inspired by Nature, for Our Future" - we made a simple and meaningful move towards a greener and more sustainable future.

🌿✨This was one of the ways in which we tried to raise environmental consciousness, call for shared responsibility and help nature regain its equilibrium through our campus environment.

Many thanks to those who made this planting event a success by their active participation. Every tree put in the ground today is a pledge to a healthier and greener tomorrow.

🌳💚 We should keep going with our climate actions, being inspired by nature, for our future.

On the occasion of World Environment Day (June 5), IAAS Nepal LC ERC is proud to organize a Tree Plantation Campaign with the aim of promoting environmental conservation, sustainability, and greener campus surroundings.

This initiative is a small but meaningful step toward addressing environmental challenges and encouraging youth participation in climate action. Through collective effort, we hope to contribute to a healthier ecosystem and inspire long-term environmental responsibility within our community.
