MTSDI implemented vocational skill training especially focusing women candidates in women non-traditional trades at Bardiya, Banke and Dang districts of Nepal. The major objectives for selecting women candidates in masonry is to enhance their skill and increase the proportion of skill women graduates in non-traditional occupations. The Institute trained 100 graduates in Brick Layer Mason (Level-1) occupation and encouraged them to generate income for their livelihood. The skill training was supported by The EVENT Project, kathmandu, Nepal.

In the Year 2015, MTSDI trained atleast 150 graduates under the financial support of Save the Children in Nepal for Vocational skill training programs. The beneficiaries were selected from the community of Save the Children partner organizations. The partner organizations are Dalit Welfare Organization (DWO) in Bardiya, Human Right Awareness Center - HURAC in Rolpa, Banke Unesco Club in Banke and Development Forum (SDF). Skill training was implemented in occupations like Stone Layer Mason, Brick Layer Mason, Assistant Beautician, Dress Making, Furniture Maker, Village Animal Health Worker and Mobile phone repairer technician. Graduates were trained to get employed in the labour market and generate income from their skill. All occupations and location was identified after performing Rapid Market Assessment (RMA) and employment oriented skill training was implemented expecting that they will engage in the employment immediately after training

Manakamana Training and Skill Development Institute (MTSDI) is conducting training at Baniyabhar, Deudakala, Dodhari, Dhadhawar, Neulapur and Magaragadi VDCs of Bardiya under the support Enhanced Vocational Education and Training (EVENT) Project / World Bank Nepal in three different occupations (Mason, Furniture Maker and Sweet & Snacks Making). Skilled training were started from November, 2014 and will of 3 months duration.

Manakamana Training and Skill Development Institute contined skill training activities in two different component. One is for very poor, socially discriminated and disadvantaged communities of very far and remote areas of Nepal and another is to create new jobs on the market through Micro enterprising. Employment Fund/HELVETAS Nepal implemented technical skill which is financially supported by World Bank Nepal, The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal and DFID Nepal. In the Year 2014-2015, atleast 140 unskilled and unemployed youths were benefitted from skill training in Jajarkot, Kalikot, Nepal and Dailekh districts. The institute also trained atleast 30 new candidates to establish business and create atleast one job.

The Insitute conducted employment oriented skill training in remote VDCs of Dailekh, Kalikot and Jajarkot for economically very poor and socially discriminated groups. In the Year 2014, MTSDI conducted training in three different occupations under "Path to Prosperity (PtP)" Component and two different occupations under "Micro Enterprise for Job Creation (MEJC)" component for the first phase and in last phase of the year 2014, the institute conducted skill training in 4 different occupations under PtP component and two different occupations under MEJC component. The skill training implemented by Employment Fund/HELVETAS Nepal and financially supported by World Bank Group, UKAID and The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal

Atleast 20 graduates trained in one of the very remote VDC of Kalikot, Nepal. It took atleast 3 days to reach Khina VDC from the headquarter (Manma) of Kalikot district. Manakamana Training & Skill Development Institute P. Ltd. conducted 390 hours Carpentry training at Khina VDC, Kalikot. The training was supported by Employment Fund/HELVETAS Nepal
