The audition round of the 3rd Balmiki Inter School Singing and Dancing Competition was successfully held at Balmiki International School on Monday, June 15!
Participants brought electrifying energy to the stage, showcasing immense talent across both categories. After a closely contested round, 7 singers and 6 dancers have made it through to the final round.
We were honoured to have experienced external judges guide the selection process, alongside our own talented teachers in supporting roles:

🎓🌍 A Day of Promises and Colours at BIS!

Sunday, June 14 at Balmiki International School was one for the books — two celebrations woven into one memorable morning.
The school gathered as one to witness the Oath Taking Ceremony of our newly elected Student Council. Our new elected School President, Mr. Aarav Tiwari took the oath of office and, in turn, administered the oath to House Captains, Vice Captains, and Class Representatives — a powerful moment of handing responsibility from one leader to the next, in front of the entire BIS community.
These young leaders have been chosen by their peers. Today, they made a promise — to their school, to each other, and to themselves.
And if the ceremony gave the day its meaning, the Jersey Day gave it its colour. 🟡🔵🟢🔴 With the FIFA World Cup in full swing, students and staff walked in wearing the jerseys of their favourite nations — a sea of football pride filling our corridors and grounds. From Brazil to Argentina, from France to Nepal's own faithful — the school felt electric.
Leadership and football. Commitment and colour. Not a bad combination for a Tuesday.
Congratulations to our new Student Council. The school believes in you. Now go lead. 🏆

Something new is taking shape on our futsal court.👟

Our girls have started training — and it's not just about learning the game. It's about proving, to themselves and to everyone watching, that contact sports have always had a place for them.
At Balmiki, we're building a Girls Futsal Team. Because talent has no gender.

कक्षा ५ का विद्यार्थीहरू आज सामाजिक अध्ययन तथा मानव मूल्य शिक्षा अन्तर्गत एकाइ एकको पाठ पाँच — उद्योग तथा व्यापार — सँग आबद्ध शैक्षिक अवलोकन भ्रमणमा सहभागी भए। भ्रमणस्थल थियो — अत्तरिया, तेघरीस्थित L.S. Water and Beverage Factory।
त्यहाँ विद्यार्थीहरूले प्रत्यक्ष अवलोकन विधिबाट पानी र जुस तयार गर्ने, प्याकेजिङ गर्ने र बजारमा बिक्री-वितरण गरी आम्दानी प्राप्त गर्ने सम्पूर्ण प्रक्रिया नजिकबाट हेर्ने मूल्यवान् अवसर पाए। साथै उद्योगका कर्मचारीहरूसँग प्रश्नोत्तर गर्दै थप जिज्ञासा मेटाउने र नयाँ अनुभव हासिल गर्ने मौका पनि उनीहरूले पाए।
यस भ्रमणले कक्षाकोठाको सैद्धान्तिक सिकाइलाई व्यावहारिकतासँग जोड्दै विद्यार्थीहरूलाई उनीहरूको परियोजना कार्य तयार गर्न समेत सघाएको छ। निस्सन्देह, यो शैक्षिक भ्रमण विद्यार्थीहरूका लागि एक अविस्मरणीय अनुभव बनेको छ।

🎉 From Dhangadhi to Kathmandu's stage — and what a stage it was!

We are incredibly proud of our six young dancers — Shreesha Shah, Paridhi Dahal, Kritika Pandey, Shristi Tamang, Tonya Bist, and Anjel Joshi — who represented Balmiki International School at the World of Dance Nepal competition in Kathmandu.
Out of over 100 performances across all categories, our girls competed in the Junior Group Division and fought their way into the Top 5 of the Semifinals — an outstanding achievement. While only the top 3 advanced to the finals, reaching this stage is something the entire BIS family can celebrate.
A huge appreciation to their mentor and our beloved dance teacher, Mr. Anil Bhandari, whose passion and guidance made this possible. 🙌
Girls, you made BIS proud. This is just the beginning. 💃🔥

A morning of learning, laughter, and recognition at BIS!
🏅 Primary Assembly kicked off with a proud moment — medals and certificates were awarded to our Spelling Bee champions. Their hard work and sharp minds deserve every cheer! 🎉
🎭 Senior Assembly took a creative turn as our older students performed a skit on staying safe from strangers and would-be kidnappers. Funny? Absolutely. Educational? Even more so. The students delivered a powerful safety message — wrapped in humour that had everyone engaged from start to finish.
This is what we love about BIS mornings: every assembly teaches something, every student has a voice.

📚 प्रत्यक्ष अवलोकन भ्रमण — कक्षा २

"म र मेरो परिवार" पाठअन्तर्गत कक्षा २ का विद्यार्थीहरूले आज विद्यार्थी युवराज सिंह र आराध्या राना का परिवार तथा समुदायमा शैक्षिक अवलोकन भ्रमण सम्पन्न गरे।

विद्यार्थीहरूले परिवारका सदस्यहरूको भूमिका, आपसी माया–सम्मान र समुदायको विविधताबीच एकताको सुन्दर उदाहरण प्रत्यक्ष रूपमा अनुभव गर्ने अवसर पाए। पाठ्यपुस्तकको ज्ञानलाई वास्तविक जीवनसँग जोड्ने यस भ्रमणले सिकाइलाई झनै प्रभावकारी र रोचक बनायो। 🏡🌿

Today, our school hall buzzed with energy as two Grade 10 students stepped up to make their case for School Presidency in a structured presidential debate — moderated by the Principal.

But it wasn't just the presidential candidates who shone. House candidates also had the floor, presenting their vision and earning the trust of their voters.

From thoughtful answers to bold ideas, our students demonstrated that leadership is not just a title — it's a responsibility.

We are proud of every candidate who had the courage to stand up, speak up, and lead. 🌟

The future of Balmiki International School is in very good hands.
