Learning News Story Writing Through Real-Life Examples

As part of the English lesson on News Story Writing, students of Grade 7 were first encouraged to observe and analyze different newspaper articles. They carefully examined how a news story is structured, including its headline, lead, body, and conclusion.
After the observation activity, students identified the key components of a news story and organized the information according to the given format. This hands-on learning experience helped them understand the purpose, structure, and language of news reporting.

The objective of the activity was to develop students’ understanding of news story writing by connecting classroom learning with real-world examples, making the learning process engaging, meaningful, and practical.
