𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐍𝐚𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐢! 🐍🌿
𝐍𝐚𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐢, celebrated on the fifth day of Shrawan’s bright fortnight, is more than a festival—it's a tribute to the serpent deities (Nagas) who protect our homes, bring rain, and connect us to the sacred rhythms of nature.
In the heart of the Newar community, this day carries deep cultural roots. From offerings at doorways to symbolic worship in sacred ponds like Taudaha and Nagadaha, the rituals honor both myth and environment.
Legends of Manjushri, Guru Gorakhnath, and Rato Machhindranath remind us of the Nagas’ powerful link to water and fertility—a reverence that still shapes the Valley’s spiritual landscape.
Let this Nag Panchami be a reminder of our bond with nature and the unseen
protectors beneath our land. 🌧️🙏
