Birgunj Institute of Technology (BIT) is one of Nepal’s leading technical education institutions, dedicated to producing skilled, confident, and industry-ready technicians for more than two decades. Established in 2000 AD, BIT is a private technical college affiliated with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Government of Nepal. Since our first batch graduated in 2003, our students have been serving successfully across Nepal and in various countries abroad—proving the strength, quality, and reliability of BIT’s teaching and training approach. BIT offers 3-year Diploma in Engineering programs in five major technical fields:
* Civil Engineering
* Computer Engineering
* Mechanical Engineering
* Electrical Engineering
* Electrical & Electronics Engineering

These programs focus on a perfect balance of practical skills, hands-on learning, modern lab training, and real-world applications. Our mission is to equip students with the technical knowledge, problem-solving ability, and confidence required to excel in today’s fast-growing engineering market. BIT’s vision is to create a generation of capable technicians, innovators, and future engineers who can contribute to Nepal’s development and compete globally. We believe technical education is the key to solving unemployment, increasing productivity, and empowering students to become job creators rather than job seekers. From SEE graduates aiming for a strong technical foundation to ambitious learners preparing for higher studies like Bachelor’s in Engineering, BIT provides the right path. We are currently progressing towards expanding our academic horizon with future plans to introduce Bachelor-level Engineering programs. With a legacy of quality education, successful graduates, and affordable learning, BIT remains committed to providing excellent technical education to the students of Birgunj and beyond.
