The impact of increasing demographic pressure in Madhesh, Nepal, mainly due to migration from the hills has far-reaching consequences and is complex. It affects essential aspects of the region's context, from resource availability and economic dynamics to cultural cohesion, political stability and environmental sustainability. Addressing these challenges requires a comprehensive approach to navigate the demographic shifts and harness the potential benefits while mitigating the associated challenges.
North North South Collectives is going to organize a public debate on those issues. Our speakers are from diverse backgrounds and regions of Madhesh.
