CHARTERED ACCOUNTANCY / ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN
A group of Chartered Accountants have pioneered (or taken initiative) to conduct Chartered Accountancy (CA) and Accounting Technician (AT) Education from registration, preparation to examination in Biratnagar. Students have already trusted us and the classes are running.
Some frequently asked questions on CA/AT Education:
1. Which is the university imparting CA education?
No university in the world imparts CA education. For CA education, every country has its autonomous body established under the Act of Parliament, like The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal for Nepal. Students have to get registered with the Board and may take private coaching classes. ICAN has a branch office opposite Mahendra Morang Adarsha Multiple Campus, Biratnagar.
2. Who can study Chartered Accountancy/Accounting Technician?
Students who have cleared or appeared in final year of +2(CA, CAP-I) or BBS or BBA or MBS in any stream can study CAP-II/AT. The students waiting for results have to get registered provisionally and submit the documents of passing to ICAN within 6 months of registration and, the failure of which will cause the cancellation of their registration. No percentage restrictions for enrollment.
3. Where can we get CA/AT education?
CA education is obtained in coaching institutes in most parts of the world and can now be completed in Biratnagar itself. Full facilities and support including coaching classes and training are available. We provide complete materials provided by the coaching institutes in Kathmandu.
4. What are the dates of registration for CA/AT courses?
Registration is open throughout the year. A student may register at anytime during the year. The examinations are held in June and December for CA and March and September for AT.

6. Is there any scope for those who will not be able to complete CA for any reason?
Those who cannot complete CA will still have better future than general university degree holders because they have thorough practical education along with rigorous training of 3 years. Many such semi-qualified people are working with various organizations at different levels.
ICAN has granted AT equivalent to those passed CAP-II & completed 3 years Articleship Training.
7. What is the duration of Chartered Accountancy Course?
CAP-I/CA Foundation 8 Months
CAP-II/CA Intermediate 1 year
CAP-III/CA Final 3 years (Articleship training along with studies)
Accounting Technician(AT) 12 & 18 Months for MBS & BBS cleared respectively.
8. How much will be the expenses for the whole CA course?
