4 Stage of Matter: Yes, sir 4. They are:
A).Solid:
sɒlɪd/
adjective
1. firm and stable in shape; not liquid or fluid.
"the stream was frozen solid"
synonyms: hard, rock-hard, rigid, firm, solidified, set, frozen, jellied, congealed, concrete
"the stream was frozen solid"
2. having three dimensions.
"a solid figure with six plane faces"
noun
1. substance or object that is solid rather than liquid or fluid.
2. GEOMETRY
a body or geometric figure having three dimensions.

B).Liquid: A liquid is a nearly incompressible fluid that conforms to the shape of its container but retains a (nearly) constant volume independent of pressure. As such, it is one of the four fundamental states of matter (the others being solid, gas, and plasma), and is the only state with a definite volume but no fixed shape.

C).Gas: Gas is one of the four fundamental states of matter (the others being solid, liquid, and plasma). A pure gas may be made up of individual atoms (e.g. a noble gas like neon), elemental molecules made from one type of atom (e.g. oxygen)

D).Plasma: A plasma is a hot ionized gas consisting of approximately equal numbers of positively charged ions and negatively charged electrons. The characteristics of plasmas are significantly different from those of ordinary neutral gases so that plasmas are considered a distinct "fourth state of matter."

Did you know paper clip can float on water when placed slowly, but sink while sink when doing it fast? Did you know why? It's all because of surface tension. You can perform it. Put the paper clip very slowly on the top of water, keeping it as much parallel to the meniscus. If you do it correctly, and slowly it'll float.

Surface tension is the elastic tendency of a fluid surface which makes it acquire the least surface area possible. Water has highest surface tension among other liquids. This is why it floats because of suface tension acting on paper clip.
