Faculty Participated in the IOE Workshop for the New Syllabus of the Third Year Second Part

On March 19, 2026 (5th Chaitra, 2082), six faculties of the Department of Electrical Engineering, including Er. Rakesh Gwachha, Head of Department and Er. Gaurab Tamrakar, Deputy Head of the Department of Khwopa College of Engineering, actively participated in the workshop on the new syllabus of the third year, second part electrical, conducted by the IOE, Pulchowk Campus Curriculum and Instructional Material Development Unit (CIMDU) at the Seminar Hall of the Department of Electrical Engineering, Pulchowk Campus. All the participants played an important role in the syllabus preparation.

Enthusiastic Participation Marks KhCE Sports Meet 2082

The Sports Meet of Khwopa College of Engineering was held on 15th and 16th of Falgun, with two games, Relay Race and Futsal competition, being held, which was organized by the Sports Circle, SQC of KhCE.
On 15th Falgun 2082, Friday, a relay race for boys and girls was held on the college premises, with 11 teams participating in the boys' relay and 5 in the girls’ relay. The boys' relay competition was won by BCT079, with BCE082 CD, BCE080 AB, and BCT081 as the first, second, and third runner-ups, respectively. Similarly, the girls' relay competition was won by BCE080, while the first, second, and third-place runners-up were BCE081, CD, BCT080, and BEL081, respectively.

CodeYatra 2.0, a three-day technological fest organized by Himalaya College of Engineering from February 22 to February 24, 2026, brought together talented students from multiple institutions to compete in innovation and technology-based challenges. The event featured intense competition, collaborative development, and opportunities for participants to present creative solutions to real-world problems within a limited timeframe. A total of 31 teams participated in the competition, making it a vibrant platform for showcasing technical creativity and problem-solving abilities.

Khwopa College of Engineering Signs MoU with AITC International Pvt. Ltd.

Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE), an undertaking of Bhaktapur Municipality, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AITC International Pvt. Ltd. on 1 March 2026 (17 Falgun 2082). The agreement marks an important step toward strengthening academic–industry collaboration to enhance students’ practical skills, technological exposure, and career readiness in the rapidly evolving IT sector.
The MoU was signed on behalf of KhCE by Er. Ramesh Bala, Head of the Placement Cell, and on behalf of AITC International Pvt. Ltd., by Mr. Bimal Devkota, Head of Growth and Business Development. The ceremony was witnessed by Er. Dinesh Gothe, Head of the Computer and Electronics Department, and Mr. Alit Man Bhuju, Business Development Associate of AITC International Pvt. Ltd.

Transmission System Design Workshop – A real case scenario of Nepal

On 3rd Falgun, 2082 B.S., the Department of Electrical Engineering conducted an advanced technical session on Transmission System Design for 4th Year B.E. Electrical Engineering students, with the aim of relating theoretical concepts to real-life power system planning and implementation practices in Nepal.
The session was delivered by Er. Mohan Neupane, Electrical Engineer and currently serving as a Team Leader for several transmission line projects, including the Luza-Tingla 132 kV line in Nepal. Drawing from professional experience, the speaker emphasized how transmission system design extends beyond calculations and directly responds to real-world constraints, operational needs, and system reliability requirements.
