Springdale organizes its Funday every year, a special day dedicated to our students and teachers to relax, have fun, and create wonderful memories together.

The day is filled with exciting games, laughter, delicious food, and plenty of opportunities for everyone to play and enjoy themselves.

At Springdale, we believe that programs like Funday help students, teachers, and colleagues open up, connect with one another, and build stronger relationships in a joyful and positive environment.

Because learning is not only about the classroom, it is also about friendship, teamwork, happiness, and shared experiences.

The walk, the confidence, the talent, the question and answer round was worth watching.

Class 6 & 7 Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM)

Springdale School organized a meaningful Parent Teacher Meeting for the students of Classes 6 and 7. The meeting provided a valuable opportunity for parents and teachers to share their experiences, observations, and feedback about the students’ learning, progress, and overall development.

Such open communication and collaboration between parents and teachers help us better understand and support every child on their learning journey. Together, we continue working towards creating a positive and nurturing environment for our students.

A Step Closer to Nature

Springdale students from Classes 6 to 10 enjoyed a refreshing hike to Nala Gadhi, immersing themselves in the beauty of nature. The lush greenery and shade of the trees provided a welcome relief from the scorching heat while giving students an opportunity to explore and appreciate their natural surroundings.

At Springdale, we believe that small steps can create lasting awareness. Through experiences like these, we encourage our students to connect with nature, understand its importance, and become more conscious of protecting our environment.

Learning doesn’t always happen inside a classroom, it happens when we step outside and experience the world.

Beloved Dr. Tony Travels Back Home

After spending a wonderful month with us at Springdale, our beloved Dr. Tony has travelled back home, leaving behind countless memories and an unforgettable learning experience for our students.

During his month long stay, Dr. Tony brought our Chemistry Lab to life through hands-on practical sessions. Students from Classes 8, 9 and 10 had the opportunity to experience chemistry beyond textbooks and gain first-hand laboratory experience.

One of the major achievements was the completion of Class 10 quantitative chemistry practicals, including the titration of sodium hydroxide and the quantitative analysis of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid).

His dedication, patience and passion for teaching made chemistry exciting, practical and meaningful for our students.
Thank you, Dr. Tony, for sharing your knowledge, inspiring our students and making their learning experience so memorable. We will truly miss having you with us.

Our students in Classes 7, 8, 9, and 10 watched the 1953 documentary film “Conquest of Everest”. This film consists of original footage shot by the expedition team about the successful ascent of Mount Everest by Tenzig Norgay and Edmund Hillary. It captures in remarkable detail the perils, hardships, and ultimate success of the team.

The determination, skill, and bravery of these men is humbling to our modern eyes. How they worked was amazing. How they survived in flimsy tents we can never comprehend. The students gave their full attention throughout the viewing and came away with awe and respect for this piece of nature which can never be tamed.

Having learned the basics of titration with sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid, Springdale’s Class 10 was now ready to experience a real-world use of titration.

In past years, the students measured the strengths of several brands of vinegar. This time they were tasked to determine the molecular weight of Vitamin C, whose chemical name is ascorbic acid. Same technique, different calculations.

Nearly all the individually determined molecular weights were within a few percent of the true value. The average of everyone’s result values was 176.80 which is 0.3% of the true value 176.23.

Of course, the students need further practice to sharpen their skills. But in a short time they’ve learned how to do titrations and why this is a useful technique. Good work, Class 10!
