Nepal Geomatics Engineering Society is launching "GeoSeries", a virtual platform for technical sharing and learning across individuals and organizations working in the sector of geo-information technology. It will be a bi-weekly (twice a month) program with a presentation from one distinguished person from Geomatics background, working professional groups, and a variety of application areas of geo-information technology. The Geo-Series aims at widening the prospects for applying geospatial technologies and the scope of Geomatics Engineering in general.

EPISODE #1: "Realistic Future Perspective of Life after Undergrad"
As the first speaker to kick off Geo-Series, we are excited to introduce Dr. Tri Dev Acharya, PhD. Dr. Acharya is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Transportation Studies, UC Davis (ITS-Davis). He completed his PhD in Civil Engineering from Kangwon National University, South Korea, and his Bachelor's in Geomatics Engineering from Kathmandu University, Nepal. He is an author, reviewer as well as guest editor for various peer-reviewed journals in the field of Geomatics. His research interest is the application of GIS, Remote Sensing, and machine learning in mapping Land cover, Surface Water, Disaster, and Transportation. His works can be found in Publons, ResearchGate, and Google Scholar. He is also the founder of Mentor4Nepal Initiative which mentors recent graduates and early career researchers for mini projects and publications.
