Are you an international researcher at NTNU, or the spouse/partner of an international employee?
In partnership with NTNU NIRS, I’m pleased to invite you to a new interactive workshop next Thursday, June 4: Priorities and Progress: Staying Focused on Your Career and Wellbeing in Uncertain Times
Global uncertainty can make it difficult to stay focused, motivated, and emotionally grounded - especially while building a career and life in academia abroad. This workshop is designed to support international researchers navigating those challenges.
Through guided reflection and practical exercises, participants will explore:
• how attention, worry, digital habits, and internal pressure affect focus and wellbeing
• strategies for regaining clarity and direction
• practical tools for protecting energy and strengthening boundaries
• ways to focus more intentionally on what is within their control and influence
The workshop draws on frameworks such as the circles of control, mental “saboteurs,” and self-compassion practices inspired by Kristin Neff.
Participants will leave with greater self-awareness, practical tools, and a small set of realistic actions to support both career growth and personal wellbeing.
📍 Location: NTNU Gløshaugen
🗓️ Date: Thursday, June 4
🕙 Time: 10:00–12:30
🥗 Vegetarian lunch included at 12:30 (room open from 9:45)

👻 “Who you gonna call?”
Ghostbusters.
Found this throwback of me with the amazing Pamela Helder Naylor and Hege Solbakken , back when we were Team Awesome on the 3rd floor at Birralee International School, dressed as Ghostbusters for Halloween. 🎃
And it got me thinking:
When life gets messy…
When growth feels hard…
When your nervous system is overloaded…
When you’re stuck in old patterns…
Who do you call? ☎️
Too often, we’re taught to handle it alone:
📚 Read the books
✍️ Do the journaling
💭 Go to therapy
🎧 Listen to the podcasts
🌱 Do the “self” development work
And yes, that matters.
But some of our deepest healing and growth happens with others:
💬 Honest conversations
🫂 Being supported
😭😂 Crying, laughing, celebrating, telling the truth
✨ Feeling seen, challenged, and connected
Because we don’t heal in a vacuum.
There’s power in hearing:
💛 “Me too.”
💛 “You’re not alone.”
💛 “I see you.”
We all need people to call 📞
That’s why I created this group coaching space:
✨ Growth
✨ Accountability
✨ Support
✨ Real connection
🎉 4 women have joined
👀 4 spots remain
⏰ Doors close Sunday at 6pm
📅 First session Monday at 11am
So… when life gets messy, who you gonna call? 👻

We are 122 days into 2026. 📅
And most people are still trying to grow alone.
That’s a problem.
Not lack of effort.
Not a lack of time.
Not a lack of information.
Isolation.
Because SCRAT energy looks like:
⚡ reacting
⚡ overthinking
⚡ pushing through
⚡ holding everything internally
And Turtle Queen energy looks like:
🐢 support
🫶 accountability
🧠 co-regulation
✨ actually changing how you move through your life
That shift is what changes everything.
One of my clients, Emma Steer said it best after my group coaching program:
“I felt listened to and supported by the whole group. I gained confidence in speaking out. Being held accountable by a wider group was really helpful.”
This is what happens when you stop doing it alone.
But here’s the important part:
I have 4 final spots left in my current group 🚨
And I am closing enrollment.
⏰ Doors close Sunday at 6 pm.
🐢We start Monday at 11 am.
DM me “TURTLE” now so we can chat about the details and get you the structured individual AND group support you need.
