22.03.1966 | the Birth of the International Taekwon-Do Federation
„As Lao Tzu said, „A long journey begins with the first step”, my first step was to name the INTERNATIONAL TAEKWON-DO FEDERATION and put into action step by step and design an organizational structure. (…) The flag and badge were designed. The remaining work was the assigning of people to each position. (…) In the middle of March, there was a meeting of the promoters at my house with the staff of the Korea Taekwon-Do Association. (…) On the 22nd of March, 1966, the International Taekwon-Do Federation was born, with 9 countries as its members in the presence of many foreign and domestic guests.

ITF Announces Three International Do Courses (IDC) for 2026
ITF members — mark your calendars! We are pleased to confirm the 2026 IDC schedule. These official ITF online courses focus on Taekwon‑Do philosophy, moral culture, and the application of Do in training and daily life.

📅 IDC – April/May 2026 (April 19 & May 3)
📅 IDC – November 2026 (November 1 & 15)
All courses are conducted online and provide essential education aligned with the ITF syllabus. Whether you are preparing for higher gradings or seeking to deepen your understanding of Taekwon‑Do’s moral and philosophical foundations, these sessions are a must.
