Rider In Balance RIB aim to enhance horse-rider performance, by improving the rider's balance and body control.

📣Big news: Riders Lab is here📣

You’ve felt it.

“I know what to do… but my body doesn’t do it.”

That’s one of the reasons why we created RIB Riders Labs.

This is where riding becomes clear, measurable, and trainable.

At RIB Riders Labs, you don’t just ride and hope for improvement.
You get your position analyzed objectively – and shown exactly what’s happening in your body.

Then we take the next step.

Using the RIB Balance Chair, you train your position without the horse –
so you can develop:

✔️ Improve position
✔️ Correct movement patterns
✔️ Improve riding technique

No compensation. No guessing.

Just structured, research-based rider training.

Because better riding isn’t about trying harder.
It’s about training smarter.

And when the rider improves → performance improves → horse welfare improves.

This is RIB Riders Lab.

Those small white dots on the rider's body aren't decoration.

Each one is a motion capture marker. Together, they track exactly how the body moves in the saddle.

This is how we measure performance at our research project. We measure what the eye can't see. Tiny shifts in hip angle. Shoulder rotation. Weight distribution. How the horse moves.

Science and riding, side by side in a arena 🐴

This is how we build better riders. Not through guesswork. Through understanding.

When your stirrups create an 'aha' moment.

Malin Olsen Wedaa, rider and founder of Wedaa Equimentor, shares how RIB Stirrups transformed her riding:

"The RIB stirrups have helped me open my hips, find better balance on my seat bones, release tension in my knees, and develop a more stable leg position. This allows me to give clearer, more precise signals - with less 'noise' in my position."

The result? Better riding even when using other stirrups. And her students experience the same breakthrough.

Our patented stirrups are designed to optimize your leg position and balance. The adjustable footplate angle provides maximum support while positioning your leg softly around the horse - relieving knee pressure and enabling effective leg aids.

This is what happens when biomechanics meets real riding.

Available in steel (750g) or aluminum (475g).

🇬🇧 Mini Academy is created to support riding schools and instructors in building more structured, consistent teaching – with a clear focus on rider biomechanics, position and balance.

The goal is simple: give riders a better understanding of what to do with their own body – so they can create better conditions for the horse.

At the moment, the content is only available in Norwegian 🇬🇧

Many riders assume that when a horse feels uneven or stiff, the problem lies with the horse. That’s understandable. We call the vet, take X-rays, run blood tests. Sometimes, nothing shows up.
We see it again and again in our work: what looks like a problem in the horse often starts with the rider. Reasearch has shown that asymmetries in the rider when standing, is the same as when mounted. The horse compensates for what we do in the saddle, stride after stride. When we look at the rider from behind, it suddenly becomes visible.
This doesn’t mean you’re doing something wrong on purpose. But it does mean the solution might lie in your own position.
Sometimes, the simplest answer is the right one: start with the rider, not the horse.
