The interior of the Children’s Hospice House for Julia by: is designed to evoke a sense of peace, acceptance, and harmony. The layout revolves around a central atrium filled with greenery and natural light, ensuring that every children's room and communal space enjoys serene outdoor views. A circular corridor with large glass surfaces provides visual continuity with nature, while niches create intimate spaces for rest and reflection. The hospice also includes therapy rooms, a communal dining area, and a rooftop walkway leading to a meditation space. Thoughtful material choices, such as concrete and wood, enhance warmth and tranquility throughout the space.

The "The Pier" designed by Dratler Duthoit architects Dratler Duthoit in 2022 in France. emphasizes the significance of the "coverplayground" in a school, viewing it as the most pivotal space and the design's starting point. This space guides children from the street to the classroom, passing through the hall and corridor. The design showcases a revamped facade made up of non-standard section wooden columns, expressing the raw nature of elements. The uniqueness of each column is valued, imagining that each child will have their favorite column. The structure resembles a wooden Stonehenge, resting on a sculptural volume of sandblasted concrete that mirrors the cut stone of the existing building. The interior is brimming with peculiarities, featuring a mix of different types of wood, colors, and materials. The architecture draws from the heterogeneity of materials, offering a domestic character suitable for appropriation.

Reviving former sea baths, Badeklippen by emerges from Gandsfjorden, inspired by Ryfylkeheiene's horizon and a nearby silo. This project encapsulates summer swimming experiences, creating a temple for aquatic enthusiasts.

Badeklippen features a long-awaited sauna for year-round bathers, offering a serene, intimate space extending from the bathing jetty, perfect for summer evenings. The structure is made of semi-hollow, sand-cast, large concrete bricks, boasting a robust beam-and-column construction, enhanced by wooden elements. The concrete's ruggedness connects the design to the region's offshore history, silos, and mountains, effectively linking the building to the cliff theme.

KINDERBAUM by + .practice is a project for the primary schools in Valdaora di Sopra, which manages to combine traditional and contemporary elements in a harmonious and innovative way. The design incorporates vernacular elements of the barn-house of Val Pusteria, such as the solid plinth, larch board facade, and pitched roof, while also introducing a progressively growing volume that evokes the metaphor of a tree. The project replaces the existing primary school and reinvents the relationship with the valley, taking advantage of the topography to create a building that is both functional and visually striking.

The intense material consistency of the project, including the use of larch board, oak wood, and concrete, embodies the specificities of the alpine context. The proposal highlights belonging to the community through architectural choices, such as the central staircase that opens towards the sky through a horizontal window, and large panoramic windows that connect every room with the alpine context. The position of the windows emphasizes the quality of the surroundings and the visual proximity to the territory emphasizes the civic role of the intervention. Overall, the project represents a pivotal episode in the urban tissue of Valdaora di Sopra, creating unexpected visual relationships with passers-by and offering different gazes at the new school

The Promenade in rural environment, by is a landscape intervention located on the edge of a small town by the river valley. The project includes a ceramic carpet that creases and folds, following the line of the existing stone wall. The pathway includes concrete bollards to identify the flow and the limits of the intervention. The promenade descends and drains into a small plaza, featuring an outdoor room for meeting and rest. The pavement is built using recycled low-value ceramic stock, resulting in a warm red pinstripe. Stonework, stone paving of different sorts, and twisted railings of rusted steel are also used in the intervention, blending into the vernacular character of the place. The lighting is designed for subtle indirect illumination, using existing natural elements as reflectors. The project was developed by Bona fide taller on the urban edge of Les Coves de Vinromà, Spain, and has been photographed by Oleh Kardash Horlay. The project was designed by hand, resulting in a beautiful set of drawings that narrate the whole process.

A red carpet transition from the landscape to a found domestic space, and behind the curtain appears a raised table, where visitors gather to share an experience through the senses and create bonds with the context. Hollows in the façade reflect the movement of the interior, but without competing with the importance of the landscape, these views are framed with a subtle red ribbon, which links the ever-present context with the interior activity. Odors permeate the space’s interior, delicate notes that refer to the quality of the product and past family experiences around a table.
A raised table is landscape and savors it, smells it, sees it, and lives it, experiencing ¨Bodegas Lan¨.
A machine for generating experiences and connecting people with the landscape. A subtle built intervention, and a landscape intervention, a red carpet, that extends, guides, and introduces.
The elevated volume generates two situations, one superior, human and inhabited, and the other inferior, natural. A volume that orders the landscape and its elements

A self-made Mechanical Engineer who founded his own workshop and later sought the expertise of ADMA Architects for formal expansion. The objective was to optimize the existing workshop space and improve the working atmosphere for its 25 employees. The design emphasized an industrial atmosphere with exposed facilities and controlled natural light and ventilation. The project resulted in not only business growth but also the improvement of spatial, material and economic values, and the dignity of work, as demonstrated by the inclusion of architectural planning and the addition of a recreational terrace space for the workers.

The Path // work by: Ethan Chiang // core 3 studio at

“The Path as an Idea....as an Experience for the Senses” - Lawrence Halprin

This project for a mental health center was inspired by a notebook sketch from Lawrence Halprin. In his sketch, he described the path as an idea:

1. As a connector between points (home to work)
2. The path as a release (for pleasure)
3. The path as exercise (walking)
4. The path as an experience for the senses (kinesthetics)
5. The path as a series of events (interactions)

Situated on 392 Crown Street, New Haven, Connecticut - the site lies on a boundary condition that separates Yale from predominantly low income, African American and Latinx communities. Taking on this idea of the path and drawing from the material imperfections of its site, the center aspires to bridge the Town-Gown relationship that exists between New Haven and Yale. Conceptually, the design also draws from the choreographic ideas of Anna Halprin; it hopes to use movement as a means for healing, to provide a connection to nature, and become a place where one can feel at ease. As a hybrid model for both mental health and community-based activities, the center aspires to be accessible for all – to become a part of one’s everyday journey so that one can return whenever they please.
