Thirst for Life DTS

Thirst for Life is a Discipleship Training School through Youth With a Mission in Skien, Norway. Come and join us for the next DTS January 11th 2017.

The Thirst for Life DTS is for people who feel like there must be something more, who long to see themselves and the world changed. Will you come and join us as we run after God? This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord. Ezekiel 37:5 (NLT)

It’s summer! This means that another year of the January DTS schools are coming up! Thirst for Life and Burn For Jesus will again this January offer you two incredible DTS’s. If you want to grow in your relationship with God, know more about who He is and know more about who you are, this is now your opportunity to apply!! We in Thirst for Life are so excited about meeting new faces and seeing what God is gonna do in our new students! We believe He already knows who you are! Oh, the things you get to experience in DTS! Two weeks ago, the Thirst for Life family had the priviledge of going on a team trip to help out at a farm in Hemsedal. For a whole week, our home was a cozy cabin and we were waking up to the view of snowcovered mountains. Our days were filled with milking cows, painting, cooking, playing in the snow, worshipping and laughing ‘till our stomachs hurt. What a joy and what a gift. We also got to do some team building by trying to push our van up icy hills😂

"God really spoke to me one time in my DTS - I was a bit confused and therefore complaining that I never heard from him and that I needed him. And right there He said to me “You never listen!”. Hah. It was so clear in my mind - I was astounded. - Maybe He is saying the same to you?
God is so kind and really wants to speak to you! What he had for me in Skien was pretty intense. He was fixing my heart from old wounds and making me a softer person. I learned a lot about myself, how awesome He has created me - and what He has for me in the future.
Something explodes when you take time to seek God. So many people have identity issues and wrong belief-systems that hold them back. This needs a shift. Prepare yourself to something mind stretching."

"During my DTS I developed a routine of having personal time with God every day. A time to discover more of his heart, a time for personal worship and simply being in his presence. I believe in order to love and serve the people around us well we need deep intimacy with God first. He's our source and only he gives true peace. I realised how crucial it is for me to have this time every day to build trust in a God that can seem far away though he isn't. When I'm facing challenges I can walk in confidence that he knows my situation and I trust that he will always be faithful."

Last week, our friend Sarah let us come to her cozy, norwegian cabin, located two hours away from the YWAM base to hang out, eat food, seek God, enjoy the nature, and we had some teaching on identity. Here's a little glimpse from our trip!
