CIDS was established in 2012 to promote good governance and professional integrity in the defence sector. Working with Norwegian and international partners, the centre seeks to build competence, raise awareness and provide practical means to reduce risks of corruption. Seminars and courses are an integral part of our work.

CIDS supported this week the Ukranian Civil Service Agency
What modern challenges are shaping new approaches to advancing integrity in public service? How civil servants address ethical dilemmas, and how does this transform public service? How can integrity be embedded into daily processes, decision-making, and leadership practices? These are some of the questions that were raised by the Head of the Civil Service Agency of Ukraine in her conversation with Damir Ahmetovicat the Integrity Forum today.
The event was co-organized with CIDS and gathered over 100 participants - representatives of the parliament, top managers, public servants, civil society and international community 🇺🇦🇳🇴

CIDS is also conducting training in the Tunisian Ministry of Defence. CIDS has set up a mobil training team conducting the NATO Integrity Action Plan Course.

This week CIDS started the Norwegian support to Moldovian Ministry of Defence. A procurement workshop is held in Chisinau.

In this busy week for CIDS we received a distinguished delegation from the Ministry of Interior, Internal control Unit. Today, they visited the Ministry of Defence and the Norwegian Police HQ. Later they will visit other entities in the justice sector.

This week colleagues from the Ukrainian Defence Sector have travelled to Austria to have a conference with CIDS on how to reduce risk for corruption. We are supported by the Austrian Ministry of Defence.

Today, Transparency International published the annual Corruption Perceiption Index
Here are some of the figures for CIDS countries and Russia. Some of the CIDS countries have improved; Albania and Kosovo. Other have had a negativ developement, among those Norway. Despite the war in Ukraine, this countriy is more or less stable, while Russia, the Ukrainian opponent on the battlefield has decreased by 4 points and is concidered to be Europes most corrupt country.

This week CIDS is undertaking leadership training in North Macedonia for the boarder police. Our senior International experts Odd B Malme and Kjetil Nilsen are training leaders in different places in the country.

Today CIDS is publishing a report about the importance of informalities when implementing public sector reform. The report is presented today at an event in Sarajevo. The report is written by CIDS Senior Experts Mr. Svein Eriksen and Mr. Damir Ahmetovic.

This week CIDS met with our colleagues from UK Defence Academy of the United Kingdom, Bi program. We had fruitful discussions about future cooperation. The venue was the Old Defence Academy building in Oslo.

CIDS is this week arranging together with DRESMARA, Brasov, Rumania the NATO BI Integrity Action Plan Course. The course is attended by participants from NATO partner countries. Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Jordan,Tunisia and Ukraine together with a participant from NATO HQ international staff.
