The Norwegian Ministry of Education recently proposed to introduce tuition fees to students who do not come from the European Economic Area and Switzerland starting in the fall semester of 2023. This proposal does not only go against Norway's basal policy of free education for all in the country, it also reinforces income and education disparities between EU/EEA/Swiss students and their counterparts outside the area. For instance, international students from outside the EU are already subject to high annual visa fees, high cost of living in the country, and are not legible to apply for student loans.
Sign the following petions to demand for a stop to this discriminatory policy proposal.
