The Digital Culture grant is one of our hidden gems. Since 2011, a mix of scholars and artists have had enriching stays with the dynamic program in Digital Culture at the University of Bergen. A welcome addition came in 2022 with the start of the affiliated Center for Digital Narrative, a Norwegian Centre of Research Excellence.

This grant is for teaching and researching in the areas of digital culture, electronic literature, digital media aesthetics, and critical approaches to technology. Application deadline for the 2027-28 academic year is Sept. 15: https://fulbrightscholars.org/award/digital-culture-8

Årets Young Researcher er Arne Johan Pollestad ’24-’25. Han fikk prisen for sin artikkel «Harnessing uncertainty: a new approach to real estate investment decision support», publisert i Quantitative Finance i 2025.

"Artikkelen tar for seg hvordan usikkerhet i boligverdsettelsesmodeller kan påvirke investeringsbeslutninger. Komiteen fremhevet særlig hvordan arbeidet ikke bare søker å forbedre prediksjonsnøyaktighet, men viser hvordan usikkerhet i seg selv kan måles og brukes som beslutningsstøtte."

Gratulerer!

Fulbright Alumni Association Norway tildelte årets Fulbright Young Researcher Award til Arne Johan Pollestad under en seremoni på Nobelinstituttet 23. juni.
