Arjun K. 14 yo (India) 💫 1-on-1 ART COACHING TESTIMONIAL 🎨
I had a blissful time working with Arjun for almost a year. He took long-term, weekly training in 2D Character Art, all focused on developing his personal fantasy story "Arthur and the Spirits of Nature."
We began with life drawing, body posture, and mannequin sketching, but because Arjun already knew the basics of drawing, we were soon able to embark on a wonderful journey into visual storytelling.
We spent a huge amount of time brainstorming, researching, analyzing, and creating thumbnails for visual elements like the "Armour of Light", "Sword of Light" and "Animal Spirits".
When I first met Arjun, he loved manga art and was already familiar with digital drawing and painting. However, he had never created his own characters, worlds, or unique stories — and that became our creative journey together.
Weekly, I was deeply impressed by Arjun's dedication, focus, and drive to build such an incredible body of artwork. He was also totally independent software-wise, working seamlessly in Krita while I worked in Procreate!
Please note that all of these artworks are entirely Arjun's hand-made creations (and this is just a glimpse of his full body of work!) developed across our 1-on-1 training. During our sessions, I created my own version of the character Arthur—using the same story, action, workflow, and research, but in my own style. Arjun was amazingly capable of following me, the process and staying inspired in real time.
