Good day South Africans. Happy Heritage Day.
South Africa is rich in heritage, with eleven official languages and a variety of ethnic groups – Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Tswana, Ndebele, Sotho, Venda, Swazi, Tsonga, Khoisan, Hindu, Muslim, English and Afrikaner. Embracing our enchanting cultures is a step towards healing our divided past. In Heritage Month we are united by our differences. We may not be able to change our inherited traditions but the amalgamation of heritage brings tradition into modern contexts.
In a world that is fast and full of things disposable, we want our heritage event to represent something real and non-disposable.
We want it to be an open day/space where you can just be present – no thought for tomorrow or yesterday.
Simply enjoy the impressions we give from stage – interact with each other, make some new friends, and adhere to Covid 19 regulations.
Once again South Africa, Happy Heritage Day.
Have a wonderful Day and the rest of the months ahead.
Thank you, Enkosi, Baie Dankie, Kealeboha, Ngiyabonga.
