Oppgavene som ligger til stillingen i daga er definert under, men det må forventes justeringer og tilpasninger basert på din og den nye lederens samlede kompetanse.

Du vil jobbe tett med kunstnerisk og administrativ leder og fungere som et viktig bindeledd mellom administrasjonen, eksterne partnere og kunstnerne. Det forventes daglig tilstedeværelse. Du må beherske norsk og engelsk muntlig og skriftlig.

Tonight (September 16th) is the premiere of "Blodveien" by Knut Olaf Sunde with live cello performed by Tanja Orning at the Ultima Festival! The work will be premiered at Vega Scene at 8:00 PM.

"Blodveien" is a concert film, where the electronic composition is accompanied by live cello. During the war thousands of Yugoslav prisoners were sent to Norway to build roads. The work was brutal. In some of the camps, mortality rates rivaled the worst in occupied Europe. "Blodveien" is a concert film that moves through this landscape, by air, by car and on foot, asking what it means to travel through a place without knowing the history beneath it.

Across three screens, routes and the ruins of former camp sites emerge alongside archival maps and photographs. A textual narration recalls fragments of history, and of lives interrupted and erased. The composition slowly emerges from sounds recorded on site. On stage, Orning’s cello merges with the recorded sound - carrying the weight of the landscape.

The production is a collaboration between Notam, Vega Scene and Ultima Oslo Contemporary Music Festival.

Tuesday September 22nd we will be hosting a talk by Gascia Ouzounian here at Notam. The talk is based on Ouzounians forthcoming book The Trembling City: The Sonic and Atmospheric Violence of Vibrational Warfare.

Gascia Ouzounian is a sonic theorist and practitioner whose work explores sound, space, urbanism, and violence. Ouzounian is the author of Stereophonica: Sound and Space in Science, Technology, and the Arts and The Trembling City, which investigates cities in relation to sound and vibrational force, particularly in the contexts of war, genocide, and mass violence. Ouzounian serves as associate professor of music at the University of Oxford, where she leads Sonorous Cities, an ERC-funded research project that explores experimental approaches to sonic analysis and design in architecture and urban practice.

Wednesday September 16th is the premiere of "Blodveien" by Knut Olaf Sunde at the Ultima festival.

July 1942, a ship docked at Rognan carrying Yugoslav war prisoners from N**i Germany. A year later, one of them, Miloš Banjac, was shot and killed by the roadside. His brother Marjan painted a cross on the rock with his blood. The people of Rognan still repaint it today, so that everyone who passes are reminded of what happened there.

Friday September 4th at 7:00 PM we will be organising our first Live Visuals Meetup right here at Notam.

This meetup is for anyone interested in VJ-ing and Live Visuals. It will be an informal gathering where we can share ideas, projects, techniques or just help each other out. If you are interested in art, lighting technology, scenography, VJ-ing, sound or music, this might be for you.

The meetup will be hosted by Eili Bråstad. Bråstad is a visual artist based in Oslo who works with video, film, photography, live visual performance and installations. She has collaborated with a number of musicians and performing artists, creating various forms of live visuals using video, video mapping and lighting. Her work has been shown at exhibitions and festivals such as the Arctic Moving Image and Film Festival, Imagine Native (CA), CTM Berlin (DE), Riddu Riđđu, Kunstnernes Hus, Atelier Nord and Vårscenefest.

Tomorrow (August 13th) is the deadline for our open call for artist who would like to work in our Spatial Audio Studio in the spring of 2027.

With this residency, we want to facilitate and support the development of artistic projects within spatial audio. The residency can last for up to two weeks, depending on the project. As artist in residence at Notam, you will work independently, but with access to a strong professional environment and facilities.

Notams Spatial Audio Studio is equipped with 24 speakers in a hemisphere with a diameter of four metres. The room is calibrated to achieve an even frequency response, and i s suitable for working with techniques such as ambisonics and VBAP.
