This weekend Karen O'Brien was awarded an honorary doctorate at Linköping University for her pionering work in cross-disciplinary research into the societal effects of climate change.

The IPCC and scientists are repeatedly warning us of imminent catastrophes unless we act now! This truly is the decade that matters.
But what is the role of the individual and the collective? Are we simply to small to make a difference? Do we just have to wait for the large-scale emitters to do something?
