Quick tip on straightening bottom wall plates.
1. Fasten one end of your plate to the floor on your mark.
2. Go to the middle of your plate and move it on the line and fasten here.
3. Go to the opposite end and push/pull it to your mark on the floor and fasten here.
4. Finish to fasten your plate to your floor.

Here's a tip when trying to chalk a line onto a wall.

Steps:
1. Using a nail or screw, sink it directly centered with your pencil mark on the wall.
2. Hook your string line onto the nail/screw
3. Pull your string to the opposite end and simply snap your chalk line
