Today our MYP4 students visited Utøya, a place that holds deep significance in Norwegian history following the 2011 Norway attacks.

During their visit, students participated in a democracy workshop where they explored what happened at Utøya, commemorated those affected, and reflected on the importance of protecting democratic values. They also discussed the role of equality in a strong and inclusive society, recognizing how fairness, respect, and equal opportunities are essential foundations of democracy.

Together, they engaged in thoughtful conversations about current threats to democracy, including the growing influence of social media, misinformation, and polarization. The workshop encouraged students to think critically about their own role as active citizens—how they can contribute to a healthy democracy through awareness, respectful dialogue, inclusion, and responsible use of digital platforms. 🕊️🌹

MYP5 traveled to Berlin together with .fredrikstad and .sarpsborg through Hvite Busser. They visited sites connected to World War II, including former prisons and concentration camps.

The experience left a strong impression, giving students space to reflect, deepen their understanding of history, and consider its relevance today.

A meaningful journey that strengthened empathy, perspective, and responsibility as global citizens. 🌍🕊️

🥮A glimpse into today’s MYP3 German cooking and baking class, focusing on desserts like apple cake and cookies. Students worked together, took responsibility, and created a productive and enjoyable space. It was great to see their collaboration and the pride they took in what they made. They had a genuinely good time and showed strong engagement! 👩‍🍳

❄️ MYP4 & MYP5 Winter Sports Day Success! ❄️

What an incredible day outdoors for our MYP4 and MYP5 students! We enjoyed a full winter sports day filled with:

⛷️ Cross-country skiing
🛷 Sledging
🚶‍♂️ Winter walking
🔥 Grilling together
🌲 Team-building survival games in nature

Students worked in teams to complete exciting survival challenges, including:
🆘 Creating a giant SOS sign
🔥 Lighting a fire by themselves
🏕️ Building a shelter using only what they could find in nature

We are so proud of how well our students collaborated, showed resilience, and supported one another throughout the day. The teamwork, creativity, and positive spirit were amazing to see!
