Our Director, Dr. Nyle Sky Kauweloa, delivered a keynote address in Norway at the 2026 Academic Esports Seminar (AES), one of the largest gatherings of esports researchers in the world. His keynote brought international attention to Hawaiʻi’s expanding role in esports education, research, and industry development.

This Monday, our second-year students presented their semester projects at BlueBox.

Working in groups, each team developed their own fitness game — from idea to a working prototype💡

The process included creating the concept, coding, building a physical prototype, and assembling the electronics — and the students handled it all successfully!🔧⚡

One more Game Night by GAME 🎮🔥

This Friday, our students gathered for an evening of fun, competing in LoL, Overwatch, and Smash tournaments.

Some participants even got the chance to test game prototypes created by our esports students as part of their semester projects 👾
