Silvia Kostolanská: Oyster's Shrieks
Oyster's Shrieks is Silvia Kostolanská's graduation project for her MA in Scenography at the Norwegian Theatre Academy, part of Østfold University College.
Oyster’s Shrieks is a live performance set within a constructed underwater world. The work explores longing, desire, vulnerability, and the pressure to be wanted. It draws on dark fantasy with psychological undertones, using the idea of a secondary world to approach these themes.

Helena Zaïda: MARROW
MARROW is Helena Zaïda’s graduation project for her MA in Scenography at the Norwegian Theatre Academy, part of Østfold University College.
MARROW is an enquiry into the gaps between the Human, the Planetary and the Global. How can we relate to something as different from us as the Planet? Acknowledging the material connections we share while operating on vastly different spatial and temporal scales we reflect on this question in a sensuous, embodied manner. What role do art, theatre and we as an audience play in this constellation?

Ingerid Frang: Murmurations Before
March 27-28 in Oslo
Murmurations Before is Ingerid Frang’s graduation project for her MA in scenography at the Norwegian Theatre Academy, part of Østfold University College.
The project is a sonic and scenographic exploration of what a theatre foyer is, and of what it might become within each audience member’s imagination. It takes a subversive position, transforming the situation of waiting and transition into the event itself.
This exploration unfolds as an audio piece, experienced by ten audience members at a time in the foyer of Oslo Nye Teater. In this performance, headphones and the foyer are portals into a sonic and unchoreographed choreography of murmurs, movements, relations, conventions, rhythms, anticipations and waiting.

START A PUNK BAND
by Emilie Beske
March 21 at 19:00
Free tickets: https://nettskjema.no/user/form/609196
Duration: approx. 60 minutes
Disclaimers: Use of extreme amounts of smoke/haze and loud sounds. Nudity and puking may occur. Not suitable for younger children.
We stand in the middle of an omnipresent revolution. Inside the Black Box's strange realism, outside on the streets in a strange reality. Why don't we put mirrors on the roofs? Reflect the sun's rays back into space and collect the seeds into a bag? Behead the statues and throw them into the harbor. Are we doing the best we can? Start a punk band. Everything in capital letters with nothing to express, no power to express, no desire, no need, together with the obligation to act.
START A PUNK BAND is a feminist, unfinished, sci-fi, solarpunk performance that places itself in the belly of the universe between powerlessness and the need to change the course of things. With open eyes and an open heart, for artists, astronauts, activists, students, the honey-naïve utopians, lazy goats, monsters, mermaids, jesters, androgynous aliens & the collective.
Text quotation and words in the performance borrowed from and in dialogue with, among others, Donna Haraway, Ursula K. Le Guin, Michael Strunge, Smag På Dig Selv, Bertolt Brecht & A Mock Book.
Concept, direction and performance: Emilie Beske
