This coming Monday 2 March, RECAP member Francis Borchardt will be holding a guest lecture at Yale University entitled “Masada and the Meaning of History.”
This is the latest entry in his ongoing project re-examining the historiography of ancient Judaism.
It pays special attention to how 19th century colonialism, 20th century Zionism, and Western academic interests come together to co-create both the archive of early Judaism and the stories we tell about it.

AI is moving fast and education needs both competence and ethics to keep up.
That’s why one of RECAP's externally funded projects, Smartstart, brings together partners from multiple European institutions to strengthen ethical, responsible AI and professional development in higher education and schools.
Excited to share what we learn along the way.
