Who is God and what is He like?

He Is Faithful • “Your love, O Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies.” Psalm 36:5

He Restores • “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.” Psalm 23: 1-3

He is Good • “Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.” Psalm 34:8

And He stays the same • “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

✨CREATOR SPOTLIGHT✨

Meet Laura! Not only is she the queen of hospitality and a big fan of metal music, but she’s a beautifully gifted fine artist with a huge heart for expressing who God is through the things she creates! Continue reading to hear how she co-creates with the Creator…

1.How did you discover your passion for fine art?

“As far back as I remember. I’ve been drawing or painting in some way or capacity, so I discovered it quite early in my childhood. I think I was in 9th grade when I started taking it more seriously because my art teacher at the time encouraged me on my art journey.”

2. What does “Co-creating with the creator” mean to you?

“For me, it’s about giving the glory to Him and acknowledging that He, as the creator, has given us different passions and has trusted us with them. It’s a privilege to be able to create with that gift that He has given me (art), as He speaks through that creation and blesses others with it!”

3. How have you seen God work through your art in your own life and in building the Kingdom around you?

“He’s taught me that serving others with your gifts and passions blesses both you and the person you gift it to. It’s such a joy!”

4. What is one thing that you would say to encourage an inspiring artist who wants to bring God glory through their passions?

“He blesses a willing heart. Even if it means you’re up for a challenge, don’t let that stop you!”

“My outreach in Europe was such an amazing experience. I got to experience so many different cultures and see how people serve the Lord in different ways. I’d never been anywhere in Europe before doing my DTS and it was such a blessing to be able to serve and explore so much of it in one trip.”
