9 years married. 13 years together. ❤️
And when I look back at those years, I don’t just see the good moments.
I see everything we’ve had to fight our way through.
PTSD.
Losing Milow.
Coming dangerously close to losing our business.
Financial stress.
Health concerns.
Fear, uncertainty, frustration and moments where life felt a lot heavier than we ever expected.
It hasn’t always been easy.
We haven’t always had the answers.
We haven’t always known what the next step would be.
But somehow, we kept taking that next step.
Together.
That might be what I’m most proud of when I look at us.
Not that we have built a perfect life.
But that every time life tried to knock us down, we found a way to stand back up next to each other.
Sometimes one of us had to carry a little more.
Sometimes we were both exhausted.
Sometimes all we could do was keep moving forward.
But we did.
After 13 years, I know one thing for sure:
Together, we keep going.
Together, we don’t quit.
Happy 9th anniversary, Myrthe. ❤️
I wouldn’t want anyone else beside me for this crazy ride.
Here’s to everything we’ve survived, everything we’ve built, and everything that is still ahead of us.
Us against the problem. Never against each other.
