American School of The Hague is an international school for students aged 3-18, representing +70 nationalities.

We offer the IB Diploma Programme and AP pathway, with a focus on STEM, arts, hands-on learning, and diverse activities for student success. ASH (est. 1953) is a private, not-for-profit institution that, at every level of organization, focuses on enhancing the student learning experience.

The first Student Voice Initiative Assembly set the tone for quite an exciting year. The theatre roaring with commotion, students cheering for blue, red, and yellow, and the energy in the room leaving no doubts: student voices are will be heard, loud and clear!

A year of ideas, collaboration, spirited moments, and students is already coming ...and this is just the beginning 💙❤️💛

Our students tried out for this season’s athletics teams with full energy and determination. We’re excited to see our teams come together and grow as they work towards the International School Sports Tournaments. ✨

It’s been a big week for our youngest students at the Early Childhood Center! Their first week began on Monday, and they’ve already been up to so many wonderful things.

From exploring the nature area and enjoying story time to making new friends, discovering new activities, and settling into their classrooms, they’ve had a busy and exciting start. And, of course, there have been plenty of the sweetest pick-up cuddles from parents at the end of each day. 💕

It took creativity, teamwork, and a whole lot of tape to make the Grade 4 Fashion Show come to life!

Our students bonded over ideas, worked together to turn newspaper into outfits, and taping every last piece into place. From dresses to entire armours, heels, capes, flowers, fans, shields, purses, and much more, they cheered each other on as their classmates took to the catwalk.

This is definitely the high spirit and community we want to see building for the rest of the year: curious, supportive, and always ready to celebrate each other!

Here's to our first Color House Field Day! Every student in Middle School came together, united by Red, Blue, and Yellow. With much enthusiasm and cheer, they embraced the first of many opportunities this year to come together and enjoy a little friendly competition.

With challenges and games that had everyone on their feet, the afternoon was all about the fun of getting to know each other through play, and building that Color House spirit that grows throughout the year.

And then there was our Grade 5 welcome. As is tradition, our newest Middle School students walked through a tunnel of their older peers, officially entering Middle School and Color House community ❤️

Hello, 2026–2027! 🎉

The new school year was officially welcomed by our community with bASH! ✨

Spread across the ASH Field, music, bubbles, and, of course, Troy the Trojan brought new and returning families together for an afternoon full of action, excitement, and new friendships.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped kick off the year in such high spirits. Here’s to an amazing year!

The Class of 2026 is celebrating an exceptional year of academic achievement! 🎓✨

From an impressive 35-point average in the IB—well above the global average of 30.88—to 95% of AP students scoring 3 or higher, our students have demonstrated remarkable dedication, critical thinking and academic ambition.

With university offers spanning leading institutions across the Netherlands, UK, US and beyond, our 2026 graduates have already started stepping confidently into their next chapters.

The year has only just begun, but we’ve already started celebrating our seniors as they marked their final first day of school!

Matching in their burgundy sweatshirts and applauded by their parents, yesterday kicked off the countdown to their graduation year.

Orientation Day, check! Today was filled with warm welcomes, new faces, and the jitters of a new beginning 💛

Our new families and students were welcomed into the community and given a glimpse of what will soon become their home away from home. The ice was broken through games and tours around campus, with many smiles and conversations flashing around the halls.

Connections are forming already - we’re looking forward to watching friendships unfold and seeing all that this year will bring! ✨
