What is the range?

We think in endurance rather than distance, because wind has too much influence on how far you actually travel. Most flights depart and land at Teuge, so the range is almost never the limiting factor. With a full battery at 80 knots you could cover around 130 kilometres, but legal reserves bring that closer to 60 km for flights to another field. Perfect for training. Not for holidays.

Will my licence be limited to electric aircraft?

Not at all. You earn a standard EASA licence valid for all single-engine piston aircraft, electric or conventional. E-Flight Academy is a fully certified EASA flight school. Training on electric aircraft does not change what your licence allows you to fly once you have it. During your training you will also have training on piston-engined aircraft.

What do I need to know before a trial lesson?

Nothing. You fly alongside an experienced instructor who decides when it is safe for you to take the controls. There is no prior knowledge required and no test to pass beforehand. A trial lesson is genuinely for everyone.

What about the weather?

We handle it. Book the day that works best for you and we will monitor the conditions. If the weather requires rescheduling we will let you know, usually the day before. In some cases on the morning itself.

Is electric flying different from conventional aircraft?

Less than you might think. The aircraft handles the same, the airspace is the same and the training is the same. The difference is in the cockpit before you fly. No oil check, no warm-up, four switches and you are ready. From there, it is flying.

Is electric flying quieter?

Yes, noticeably. The motor itself is silent, but you will still hear the propeller and the air moving around the aircraft. Think of it like an electric car at speed. At 60 dB(A), it is significantly quieter than a conventional aircraft of the same size, which makes a real difference for both the pilot and the people on the ground below.

The Airline Assessment at E-Flight Academy . A realistic picture of where you stand, before you walk into that selection.

Applying to an airline means being assessed on very specific competencies.

Two days. Two instructors. Four flights and two simulator sessions.

Day one covers flight technique, situational awareness, workload management, communication and decision-making.

Day two repeats the format with a different Flight Instructor, for a broader and more objective view of your performance.

Afterwards you receive a detailed assessment report, structured around airline-oriented competencies. You can use it as additional context in your application process.

*Not an official EASA-approved syllabus. Just a serious and honest benchmark of where you are.
