organisaties,de Vereniging Hogescholen
en de Vereniging van Universiteiten
geven met het besluit gehoor aan een
oproep van minister Bruins om in ieder
geval alleen nog onderwijs op afstand
te geven.

In een brief van Bruins staat dat "op
universiteiten en hogescholen sprake is
van vele nationaliteiten en daarmee van
vele in- en uitreisbewegingen".

De gebouwen blijven voor zover mogelijk
open voor andere activiteiten.Wel heeft
een aantal universiteiten tentamens en
promoties uitgesteld.

Today's update University Council and Executive Board board on Corona virus (March 12, Situation at 10 am.)

* A Crisis Management Team and a Direction Team are working hard on the Corona crisis, this includes teaching but also internal processes and continuity, and coordination with GGDs, ministry, RIVM and the region.

* There is extra cleaning on campus, the sport center has closed until March 16, most students associations have cancelled activities. Except for our core activities (teaching, exams, and minimal service), we do not expect people to be on our campus.

* Teachers are advised to switch to online teaching if possible. This should happen in coordination with the academic directors. TIAS will switch 100% to online teaching.

* There is extra IT support for online teaching. The University does not expect bandwidth problems (for our own facilities).
