April Recap 🙌🏼

Time to look back at everything we did in April 🧡

At the beginning of the month, our Student in the City Committee organized an activity for future students, where they got to know Tilburg and everything the city has to offer!

Our annual MAK/MUK also took place, where we welcomed former MAK members back to Tilburg. During the day, we played a quiz, rode a beer bike, and of course ended the night with some drinks 🍻

We also had our MAKker training. This time, our MAKkers visited the Tilburg Trappers and got an exciting lesson in ice hockey 🏒⛸️

As if that wasn’t enough, our GROW Committee hosted a casino event for first-year students. During the evening, students had to earn MAK money in order to buy their drinks at the stock exchange 🎰

At the end of the month, our Sports & Wellbeing Committee made sure our MAKkers got some exciting exercise by hosting a soccer training ⚽

Lastly, the First-Year Committee hosted a fun game night, where fellow first-year students visited some of Tilburg’s pubs and played games together!

MACcie is the MAK Alliance Committee! They are responsible for setting up the study program introduction for the pre-master students, recruiting mentors for the MAK Introduction Day, and organizing the kick-off activity of the GROW mentoring program, which takes place on 𝗦𝗘𝗣𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟵𝗧𝗛 for all first-year TiSEM students!🤩

𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐌 𝐍𝐄𝐗𝐔𝐒: 𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐌 𝐈𝐗

This year, MAK exists 45 years, so it’s time to celebrate our 9th lustrum!🥳 Our lustrums’ theme is Novem Nexus (the 9 connections)✨

There are several events during the year where our MAKkers will come together to attend diverse activities. So far, we’ve already had the Opening Party at Arbie’s Beachhouse where our lustrum song was played for the first time🤩, and we spent an afternoon with the elderly at den Herdgang. Our lustrum committee has planned many more parties that will follow in the fall, such as the lustrum week with several activities, ending with a spectacular gala!🧡

𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊

One of the big annual activities that is organized by MAK is the MAK Introduction Day!🧡 It’s a day for all first-year TiSEM students full of fun activities where they can get to know each other and the university! This year, it will take place on Monday August 19th🤩

During the week, there are also other possibilities to come chat with MAK, such as at the TOP 013 fair and at our own open party on Wednesday at !🎉

𝐌𝐀𝐊: 𝐀 𝐂𝐋𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐏 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒

MAK is a close group of friends, consisting of 25 people🤩 This means that next to doing committee work, everyone enjoys spending time together in social activities. We have a bi-weekly drink at where everyone can catch up🍻, all the committees have social activities together, we go on trips such as MAKweekend (two times in a year) or a skiing trip⛷️, and so much more!🧡

June Recap☀️, a month filled with fun events and sportive activities!

We participated in the yearly Asset Champions League⚽️ and of course the Third-Half Party🎉

We also played some volleyball🏐 during the tournament organised by the MAKtivity Committee and ended the night at Studio for our bi-weekly drinks🍻

Our MAKkers organised a lot of fun nights out with their committees🤩

And we all got to enjoy a pubquiz followed by a homemade high-tea🫖

MAK Introduction Day: Try-out!🧡✨

While this academic year is coming to an end, we are already preparing for 2024-2025!🎓 Today our Introduction Committee is presenting their plans for the MAK Introduction Day to all the other MAKkers. We get an overview of what the day is going to look like and we will test the game elements that the committee has prepared🎲🧡

After this day, the committee can use all the comments to make sure the MID runs smoothly!✨
