Today we introduce #1: Pepijn Beusmans
โจPepijn is 21 years old and currently a third-year Economics and Business Economics student. In addition to his studies, he is an active member of T.S.V. Plato and fraternity Vatos, where he currently serves as chairman. Furthermore, he is involved with Frontโs student participation association and is co-organizing the student festival Dichtgetikt this year together with other students.
Through his own experiences, Pepijn has seen how much personal development takes place when students are active alongside their studies. This is exactly why he believes the university should offer more space and flexibility for such engagement. In his view, studying should not only be about earning ECTS, but also about personal growth and development.
More specifically, he believes that education must become more accessible and flexible. For instance, lectures should be available online by default, ensuring that students who are unable to attend physically can still follow the material.
In addition, Pepijn believes the university should embrace the rise of AI rather than restrict it. Students should be taught how to use AI in an effective and responsible way. In his view, responsible AI use should therefore become a standard part of academic skills training in the first year of every bachelorโs programme.
He aims to contribute to a university where students not only study, but also have the opportunity to develop themselves broadly.
Do you agree with Pepijn and want him to represent you in the University Council?

Today we introduce #2: Anna-Fleur
Anna-Fleur is 21 years old and in her third year of Business Administration. She is an active member of T.S.V. Plato and part of sorority DOT, and plays hockey at HC Tilburg.
Anna-fleur believes the university should provide better facilities that match how students actually study. Thatโs why she advocates for more study spaces with docking stations, additional silent study areas during exam periods, and an expansion of group workspaces. So you donโt have to search for a spot, but can simply focus on your studies.
In addition, she is committed to supporting active students. By recording lectures more frequently and consistently, it becomes easier to combine studying with a board year, a student job, (top) sports, or an active association life. This helps keep education accessible for everyone.
Do you agree with Anna-fleur and want her to represent you in the University Council?
Vote #2 on April 20, 21 & 22!

Today we introduce #3: Erin Coppens
Erin is 20 years old, a third-year Psychology student and an active member of T.S.V. Plato and sorority Mumtaz Dica.
Erin is dedicated to ensure that a vibrant student life and personal development go hand-in-hand with academic success. She believes that we need to use digitalization to create a flexible curriculum that adapts to the needs of todayโs students and creates a learning environment in which you can get the most out of your studies, while at the same time leaving room for personal development.
Besides that, she is committed to enhancing the living Campus by installing more picnic benches, believing that a campus should be more than just functional. It should actively contribute to student well-being and study pleasure. By creating inviting outdoor spaces, she aims to create an environment where students can relax and connect.
Overall, she advocates for a university where digital flexibility and better campus spaces allow students to successfully balance their academic goals with their personal growth and well-being.
Do you agree with Erin and want her to represent you in the University Council?
