May is here 🌞, and it’s warming up outside, which means it’s time for celebrations and fun activities!

This *Thursday* , you can join us for the *Lustrum Reveal Drink* and be there for the big theme reveal 👀
Next week, we’ll also celebrate *Pattern’s 9th birthday* 🎉, and later this month, there are still a couple more activities to join.

So hopefully we’ll see you at one of the events! 💙💙

The Member of the Month of April is 𝗦𝗶𝗹! They will introduce themselves below:

Hi, my name is Sil (on the right). After finishing my bachelor’s in Cognitive Science & Artificial Intelligence, I thought it would be a great idea to make life slightly more complicated and start the master’s Data Science in Business & Entrepreneurship at JADS. Along with a new study also came a new study association, which seemed like the perfect place to combine academic ambition with one of my other major interests: drinking beer. Besides my studies, I’m also the chair of Kweek Communicatie in Tilburg, a student-run communication bureau where we work on real communication projects for clients. When I’m not sitting in a lecture hall or staring at datasets pretending I fully understand them, there’s a good chance you’ll find me in the gym doing powerlifting, trying to lift weights that are probably slightly heavier than necessary. If I’m not there, I’m most likely on the couch watching PSV, because missing a PSV match is simply not an option. And let’s be honest: a beer tastes significantly better after a heavy squat or a PSV win. Within the association I try to stay somewhat productive as well. I’m part of the BarBaCoE, where I regularly stand behind the bar serving drinks to others, although I have to admit that on many other nights I’m just as often on the other side of the bar helping to empty them. I’m also part of the SportsCo, which gives me the opportunity to channel my “sporty” side (or at least pretend I have one). Besides that, I’m involved in the Reef Keef Kelder, for which we are trying to organize a Rave in our very own bar, where I will DJ. I’m also part of the Intro Camp Committee, helping organize the introduction camp so new members can immediately experience everything the association has to offer (including the beer, of course). Finally, I’m still hoping to one day officially start the legendary PaBoCo (Bosgevechtcommissie / Forest Fight Committee). The idea has been submitted, the motivation is there and we have eager members now we’re just waiting for the chairman to finally allow it.

April is here 🌷☀️ and we’ve got a month full of energy coming your way!

Hi everyone! I am Alicja, I am 21 and I am honored to be nominated to be the Member of the Month!

I've been an active member of D.S.A. Pattern since my first year in 2023. Currently I am the secretary of the education committee. I am in charge of planning our meetings, taking minutes and I have full control over our mailbox 😎

Together with my fellow committee members (shout out to the best committee ever) we organise roundtable discussions for courses and handle problems connected to education.

After school I like to read, go for walks, bake and cook, and of course, hang out with my lovely lovely friends 💖

If you try your best, you might find me in de Kelder on a tosti day!
