It’s study week on campus. Exams are done, resits are coming up, and things feel a little quieter. The perfect time to wander into the woods and explore MATERIAL WORLDS, the new open‑air exhibition by right next to Tilburg University.

What you’ll see:

👀 Sculptures by 20 international artists
👀 Artworks that experiment with materials such as wood, stone, textiles, clay and rubber

Some works catch your eye immediately, while others reveal themselves only when you pause and look closely. Enjoy your walk!

Last night, welcomed many children to campus during the Avond4Daagse. They were walking alongside their classmates, together with their families and friends. With 7,000 people taking part across Tilburg, it was great to see so many determined faces on campus. Umbrellas and raincoats were out in full force, but nothing stopped the enthusiasm. ☂

Çağan Kılınç and Tiago David won a national prize with their venture Res-Q Net: a solar-powered communication system that keeps emergency services connected when everything else fails.

Congratulations on winning the Enactus National Exposition 2026 in Utrecht and good luck with representing at the World Cup in São Paulo, Brazil! 🏆

On Friday, May 29, Tilburg University proudly unveiled the Rainbow Sofa: a new and lasting symbol of diversity, inclusivity, and connection on our campus. 🏳️‍🌈

The Rainbow Sofa was officially unveiled by Vice-President of the Executive Board Wilma De Koning and Viara Vassileva, Chair of Umbrella Association. It replaces the former rainbow staircase and continues its legacy in a more sustainable and permanent form. More than a colorful installation, it is a place where students and staff can meet, connect, and feel welcome to be themselves. Created together with students and staff through the “Celebrating Diversity” design competition, the mosaic design beautifully reflects our community: every piece is unique, yet together they form one whole.

On April 15 and May 20, a number of students came together to support the Tilburg community. From social initiatives to projects, students contributed in many different ways to make Tilburg a little better 🙌
