I am an Irish woman living in the Hague for the last 30 years. My extensive experience in teaching English as a foreign language has led me to so many different avenues of learning. A CELTA-Cambridge graduate and published author, I intuitively feel the needs of the client. Teaching a language that is not one’s own, is a very different ball game. It requires an inate sense of the client’s individual needs. A great deal of creativity is required to break through the barriers that many people have when learning a language. My source material is modern and keeps up with the trends. A ‘living’ language is spoken, and not only written. It’s fresh and inviting. My courses include conversational English, business English and English tailor-made programmes for both individuals and groups (from beginners to advanced). Children’s classes are approached with a lot of fun and my ‘sweet and breezy’ method includes music and creative play (ages 6-10). Young adults courses for IELTS and TOEFL are also offered. What makes me unique is my ability to keep it simple and yet challenging. To create a safe learning environment for all who attend my classes. An informal chat is always welcome to inquire and take it from there.
