A union to promote a fun and effective learning environment for students from International Public Administration Program at the THU. Welcome to Agorá!

Moving from your sheltered and comfortable home to study can be quite overwhelming. Apart from the study load, the pressure to find new friends and deal with the Dutch Bureaucracy, all the while trying to keep your checkbook in order, can be daunting to say the least. To help you through your study time, Agorá Student Union was founded in the summer of 2010 for the International Public Management

program at The Hague University of Applied Sciences. To realize this assistance, we offer a wide variety of social and educational events. To give some examples: Guest Lectures, Critical Movie Nights, Karaoke Nights, ‘Borrels’, Excursions, you name it! We aim to be the forum that connects students from all of the years of our program, as well as with students from other programs and backgrounds, to create a fun and innovative learning environment. Hence, our mission is to have every student obtain the motivation to work smart, spend wisely, party proficiently and to grasp that magical piece of parchment (your Diploma) that will be the gateway to the future, where you see yourself to be.

Did you have trouble with finding student housing🏠 in The Hague? Or were there any other obstacles you ran into when you moved? The faculty is looking for an IPM international student who would like to participate in a meeting with the municipality🏛 on how these things could be improved upon. Cease your change if you feel like there is room for improvement on matters of housing and studying for internationals.
