Imagine spending the next few months with people at your level, many of whom weren’t born in the Netherlands either, many with inspiring life stories, all here to learn to become better people in whatever they do in life, which means they, like yourself, have come to help others—and you’re among them!
⨳
It may surprise you, but the most common fear we have is loneliness.
Not just loneliness, but the fear of rejection—the worry of not being socially accepted or being rejected by others, whether at work, in personal relationships, or life in general.
The reason is simple:
Before the modern age, people lived in tribes that were taking care of and protecting them. Without the tribe, it was tough to survive.
Being cast out of the tribe was a death sentence.
⨳
So, even though humanity has advanced and evolved, parts of our brain are still tribal.
We are social creatures.
And how does this relate to us?
Even though modern technology allows us to connect with people around the world instantly with the push of a button, even though we no longer have the existential fear of not having food without the people close to us, our need to be close to like-minded people—those who share our values and think like us—has only grown stronger.
Without this mental closeness, we feel very lonely:
We get bored when others don’t share our interests.
We struggle in relationships that don’t suit us.
We feel suffocated when we see someone acting according to values completely different from ours.
⨳
And why am I telling you all this?
Because it’s the exact opposite of what happens in our programme:
Coaching for Success - Your Journey to Proficiency in Coaching
In this programme, like-minded people gather—people with similar goals, similar interests, and above all, many shared or identical values:
Everyone wants to learn how to better support others and how to improve their own lives and the lives of others.
That’s why even after the first few hours on the first Training Day, meaningful friendships are formed, lasting for years after the programme ends.
We’re all non-judgmental, supportive, and forming an enriching environment.
How great would it be to be surrounded by a group of people who are almost exactly like you!
