🔹 Decades of Dedication - NATO at 75: Securing Peace Through Strength 🔹

In light of the 75th anniversary of NATO, and the various conflicts that have emerged within the last decades, the JASON Institute invites you to join our panel discussion on the topic of NATO resilience: past, present, and future.

The participants of this event include Prof. Dr. Scott-Smith, Dean of Leiden University College and Prof. of Transnational Relations and New Diplomatic History, Mr. José Gutierrez, Political and Military Officer at the US embassy, and Mr. Lauri Kuusing, Estonian Ambassador to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The panel discussion will be moderated by defense expert Ms. Karlijn Jans, Senior Advisor at the Dutch Ministry of Defense. At the end of the evening, members of the audience will have the opportunity to engage in a dynamic Q&A with the panelists.

In commemoration of the MH17 disaster , we plan to dedicate a substantial journalistic project to this topic.

In a seemingly increasingly unstable world, even a war on the European continent appears to have become business as usual. But with western governments providing extensive support to the Ukrainian cause, it is only right to continuously scrutinize this aid. What was the role of the West in unleashing this war, who is profiting from this war and what’s really at stake?

To answer these questions we invited retired top diplomat Ron Keller. Mr. Keller was ambassador of the Netherlands to both Ukraine and Russia, and therefore an incredibly insightful speaker. Attesting to long term friction between the West and Russia over the position of Ukraine in the world order, Keller is able to provide a unique perspective to the conflict as it is today.
