This conclusion was derived from an analysis of the aftermath of French Revolution and the American civil war, and is as true of the Civil Rights Movement. History is a testament to the efficacy of societal upheaval as a catalyst for change. This is now as relevant as ever.
Racism does not end at the US border, it extends beyond. It is a deep-rooted poison in so many countries.
This is a time for all people and all leaders of countries to not just stand by the protests in the US, but to reflect on their own behaviours, to learn, to recognize the systemic racism present in their own states. It is a time to act against racism everywhere.
